Condensation drops on my beer glass and beer froth on my lip-pens,
Cat pose and cobra pose and stretching my hip-pens,
Harry Potter being used as the main theme,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Alright you get it, one of the coolest cities in the world (alright I’m slightly biased since I am from there originally) Austin, Texas just combined three of the coolest things on Halloween: Beer, Yoga, and Harry Potter. On the eve of Lily and James’ death, Circle Brewing Company hosted a “Harry Potter-Inspired Yoga for Halloween Class” as a special edition of their regular “Pints & Poses” class.
When your yoga class goes viral on all your fave publications + interweb sources… thank you @selfmagazine @cosmopolitan @allure @time @teenvogue @shape @c1revolution + more for the #Harrypotteryoga magic that happened in the @circlebrew last Sunday! We are having another magical class, 11/20. Stay tuned for more tix+ info!
Despite Yoga not being a part of the Hogwarts regular curriculum, the staff at Circle Brewing really put a HP magical twist on their asanas with “cat and cow transfigurations, some Slytherin cobra action, and wand-wielding backbends to summon a Patronus and cast off Dementors.”
Each participant received their own (free!!!!) wand, and could enjoy other on theme decorations, like the papier-mâché sorting hat.

If you have a serious case of FOMO and missed this enchanting experience don’t fret! After it sweeping success they’ve decided to host Harry Potter Inspired Beer Yoga 2.0 – Pints & Poses on Nov. 20 to celebrate the premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.”
As our source Austin360 reports:
For $20, witches, wizards, Squibs and even Muggles can take part in an hour of hatha yoga practice (wand included!), followed by a pint of Harry Potter-inspired beer (not butterbeer, sorry) in the tasting room.
Now that’s something worth getting out of the cupboard under the stairs for!
