If you’ve ever been to your town’s mall, then you’re aware of Goth.
And it’s not just because of the kids in the smoking area, Goth’s influence is hugely wide-spread. For every Hot Topic selling band tees to people who just like the album covers, there’s also Forever 21‘s and H&M‘s selling black lipstick and heavy eye make-up to people you’d probably never associate with the movement.
Pitchfork recently released an animated video tracing back the roots of Goth. It’s an awesome watch; super funny, well informed, and an animated style that brings us back to the SquiggleVision days of the 90’s.
