So as it turns out Hurricane Matthew wasn’t all terrible. I’m not talking about to horrific damage done, of course, because on that scale yeah, it was really pretty shit. I mean seriously, it really did a number on some places. But for this kitten at least, Hurricane Matthew ended with a happy (and viral) story, plus some sweet fashionable choices.
That’s right that is the adorable floof, and yes, she is in a sock sweater. In an Oliver Twist story (Oliver & Company?) this kitten was brought into the PetSmart’s Banfield Pet Hospital when the torrential downpour of Hurricane Matthew was at its peak in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The staff had made her a teeny tube sock sweater to keep her warm, and when she came out dressed to impress a family, a passerby (who obviously has good taste and a warm heart) snapped pictures and put them on Twitter. Tube Sock Sweater kitty immediately became an internet sensation for her meow-deling skills, and the best part is, she found her fur-ever home.
We agree @PakFanPajamaMan, that IS the cutest damn thing in the world.
As for the girl who made this fur baby go viral? She’s now using her *fame* to encourage other people to adopt.
If you want the kitten I tweeted, check out your local shelter! lots of pets need your love right now! 😍https://t.co/MjtP4Dsw1A
