The Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn’t exist without comic book legend Stan Lee. The writer/editor/publisher/former Marvel prez & CEO once masterminded superhero creations like Spiderman, The Hulk, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, Thor, The X-Men, and Daredevil; these days (at 93 freaking years old), Lee continues his contributions by making cameos in the MCU’s wildly prolific film production slate.
Since 2000, he’s appeared in 25 Marvel movies–playing random bystanders, post office workers, and even strip club emcees–but he recently set his own record by shooting cameos for 4 different Marvel projects in a single day. There’s some speculation on which projects: DOCTOR STRANGE and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 have both wrapped production, while SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING AND THOR: RAGNAROCK are still shooting in Atlanta. Per Cinemablend, it’s also possible that Lee went ahead and shot material for one of the films currently in pre-production down in the ATL, THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and AVENGERS 4.
We can’t wait to see how Lee will turn up in the next batch of Marvel films. Meanwhile, here’s a look at all his past cameos thus far:
