Marvel Adds Kanye West And Jay Z To Collection Of Hip-Hop Comic Covers

While most of the country has been taking in their Marvel addiction in the form of the Cinematic Universe, the old-school (actual comic book) fans have been treated to an amazing year of pop-culture exploration in the form of hip-hop variant covers.

It started with the classics – Ant Man standing in for Biggie on a Ready To Die riff for example – and now, they’re moving to the modern masters. A couple days ago Marvel announced their latest slate of variant covers which feature Kanye, Jay Z, and Vic Mensa.

The first up is Elektra killing it in her take of Jay Z’s American Gangster:
