No matter how much binge-watching you’ve done, you probably haven’t actually seen every episode of Doctor Who. But don’t worry, because the BBC has your back: they’ve created animated versions of the lost episodes featuring ‘The Power of the Daleks’ storyline and are airing them this fall.
As many fans are aware, almost 100 episodes of classic Doctor Who were lost in the ’60s and ’70s from routine cleanings of the BBC archives. The network is atoning for its past sins of deletion with animated remakes of the episodes featuring the premiere of the Second Doctor, played by Patrick Troughton.
The episodes will first air over the course of six days in England, starting on November 5. BBC America will air them as a complete serial on November 12, so us Americans will have to wait a bit to see if the Daleks succeed in taking over the universe–whatever they were up to back then.
