The ‘Key & Peele,’ actors who brought us thousands of laughs and WTF moments have been keeping busy with other comedy-based projects, since the shows ending in 2015. However next year, in a pretty huge plot twist, we are seeing one counterpart, Jordan Peele, transition from comedy to horror. Although with skits like ‘Cute Puppies,’ we probably should have seen this coming:
Peele is now stepping behind the camera in his solo debut for a psychological thriller he both wrote and directed. The horror film Get Out is about a young interracial couple who’s visit to the white girlfriend’s family estate goes horribly awry. The racially charged plot-line will be produced by Blumhouse Productions, who brought us Insidious and The Purge, so we can assume a similar horror-feel will be applied to this movie. HOLY CRAP RIGHT!? Seriously there are so many unanswered questions, but this is definitely a seat grabber. The amazing visuals and intriguing Guess Who’s Coming – Stepford Wives psychological thriller mash up already has us completely sucked in…like falling through the floor sucked in.
Get Out will be released in theaters February 24th, 2017.
