Japanese Artist Masayoshi Matsumoto Turns Balloon Animals Into Art

Never again will I settle for another predictable and boring latex balloon snake. Masayoshi Matsumoto turns the craft of making balloon animals into art. His vivid imagination and use of vibrant colors result in the creation of extremely realistic depictions of a wide range of creatures. The Japanese self-taught artist started making the sculptures seven years ago but don’t expect him to show up at birthday parties any time soon. It takes him an average of FOUR hours to create each balloon animal.

He tackles fan favorites such as…

Snakes

Cobra

And Birds

Parakeet

Kingfisher

Toucan

Then he completely blows the competition out of the water by creating animals you would have never even thought of!

Fly

Iguana

Jellyfish

Goldfish

Caterpillar

You can find more of his art on his Tumblr, Facebook, and Instagram.
