Harvey Weinstein was reportedly attacked following his dinner at the Elements restaurant at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Prior to the incident, the instigator named Steve asked Weinstein for a photo after telling him how much he loves his movies, only to be met with a belligerent response. On the contrary, a restaurant manager claims Harvey Weinstein was “very sweet about it,” saying “I’d rather not take a picture right now.” She claims they shook hands and Steve returned to his seat.
After having a bit to drink, Steve left with his friend at the same time as Weinstein and his dinner companion/sober coach. Steve told his friend to begin filming on his phone as he approached disgraced Hollywood director saying, “You’re a piece of s–t for what you did to those women,” slapping him twice in the face, causing Weinstein to stumble backwards and almost fall over. The restaurant manager, however, claims the punches never hit Harvey Weinstein, and the perpetrator Steve was drunk and out of control.
When Weinstein was asked if he wished to call the police, he declined. You can watch the video of the incident here.
