To be honest, if you’re going to Chipotle you might just want to ignore the calorie count like a normal person. If you’re going to treat yourself to some fake Mexican fast food, you might not want to torture yourself with numbers.
Apparently not everyone understands this, because Chipotle is now being sued over misrepresenting the calorie count of their new chorizo burrito.

The menu states ‘300 calories’ next to the new burrito. Most people with brains realized that was bullshit. It turns out, the chorizo itself is 300 calories. Some customers haven’t taken kindly to this kind of marketing, and now three L.A. customers who purchased the meal are suing the company.
One such complaint came from David Desmond, who said he“felt excessively full and realized that the burrito couldn’t have been just 300 calories.” Poor guy.
The law suit would cover “all people who bought food at Chipotle for four years leading up to the filing of the complaint” because “the signage is part of a pattern by the chain of presenting misleading nutritional information.”
Chipotle has yet to respond to the suit. I don’t blame them.
