Childish Gambino Teases New Album Art

Donald Glover is excessively impressive. He’s not only incredibly talented, but is able to do so with a busy schedule. On top of being a the regular multi-hyphenate professional that is normal to Hollywood stars (singer-song writer, actor-singer), he is also writing, directing, producing and starring in his own impressive show Atlanta (which has recently been renewed!). Despite throwing all his love into his own TV series, he’s managed to somehow find the time to also plug away at creating a new Childish Gambino album. Seriously, like I can’t even manage make dinner plans after work much less have like 5 jobs – give me my couch and wine post 6pm and don’t talk to me.

The new album, Awaken, My Love, is a follow up to his second studio album, 2013’s Because the Internet. After a release schedule from an FYE music store surfaced online last week, rumors have been swirling about the album dropping as soon as December 2nd. Yesterday he teased fans more by tweeting the albums artwork:

No rumors have been confirmed by Gambino, but maybe that’s because he’s too busy working on his newest role that’s pretty out of this world. Recently cast in Disney’s upcoming Han Solo film, perhaps Glover is just channeling his inner smooth-talking space pirate in his (backstabbing) approach to letting fans know the release date.

Either way – we’re digging it.
