So the Hobbit films are over, and for most, it was unsatisfying ending to an incredible franchise.
But every once in a while, you get a do over, a chance to right the wrong, and end one of the most culturally important series the right way.
That’s exactly what we got with the annoucment that the legendary J.R.R. Tolkien will be releasing another book, and one that takes place in Middle Earth.
What? He died 43 years ago?
His son, Christopher Tolkien has unearthed a text found in The History of Middle-earth, a 12-volume compilation of material relating to the fiction of Tolkien which he edited. He has decided to adapt (or edit) that text into a full-on brand new, Tolkien book.
