DANCE, GIRL, DANCE.
Actress Margaret Qualley (THE LEFTOVERS, THE NICE GUYS) is flailing-limbed perfection in this commercial for Japanese brand Kenzo’s new perfume, World. In it, a bored socialite abandons a dull gala and breaks into spazzy dance antics through the empty, elegant halls.
It’s raw. It’s real. It’s a little insane. It’s the shimmying, high-kicking, face-contorting good time we all needed this Tuesday.
Directed by Spike Jonze (2013’s HER) and choreographed by Ryan Hueffington (the guy responsible for Sia’s CHANDELIER) the commercial’s frenetic music and wild dancing is actually very subtly successful in its advertorial aims: now I have to buy this perfume.
I don’t even WEAR perfume.
TAKE MY MONEY AND TAKE MY SOUL.
